Suzuki Vinson Shifter Problem
#1
Just got a Vinson and I can't get the shifter to work. It goes into park and then when pulled back to go to the other gears it will not move toward the right and will not go into neutral. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I didn't get anywhere. I tried for some time and it didn't even feel like it was trying to shift to neutral or shift into another range. Any thing else?

Depress the rear brake completely for the shifter to come out of Park. Same thing for going from gear into the Park position. The Vinson has a parking brake built into the shifter. If this doesn't work, rock it back and forth a little. Mine was stiff at first, but is pretty smooth now with only 200 miles.

Mine does the same thing some times and I always get it to go into gear by rocking it a bit. There was a post here a few weeks back about the same thing and some had to get a shifter kit installed. I don't really want mine torn apart just to make it shift easier. I think that most of us can live with the problem.
