Suzuki Z400 vs Honda ATC90 - WHICH IS BETTER?
#1
I'd like to know which ATV is faster? Which one would win in a drag race? I heard the Honda ATC90 has better cornering capabilities, is that true? Someone also told me that the ATC90 could actually jump better in the dunes but the Z400 was better on the trails. I think that's crazy but he sounded like he knew what is was talking about. Which one has more horsepower at the rear wheels? What about bump steer? Does the Honda ATC90 have less bump steer? Which one has more aftermarket parts available for it?
So tell me what you think. I know the Suzuki is new but Honda invented the 3 wheeler so it has to be good.
Ok, this is a joke. Do what you will with it.
Cheers,

i dont know man, i have an 1972 ATC90. the thing is kept in upstate maine all year round. sits about 45 weeks out of the year. every memorial day when i go to start, move the choke, 1 pull thats all it takes. the thing is an animal. i rode it a lot a few weeks ago and sometimes it is more fun that my Z. the z is so balanced and powerful, its almost easy to ride somerimes. the ATC90 is underpowered adn unstable. it reminds me of being a kid and trying with all my strength to keep it going full throttle around turns.
its a hard battle if you ask me.

I just sold my '72 ATC90. They certainly have their appeal and I wasn't making fun of them or anything. I was more or less making a little satire about the number of "this vs that" posts in the message forums.
I rebuilt my 90 last year and had plenty of fun with it, but of course it's no replacement for any modern ATV. Still, the ATC90 really started it all and you get plenty of head turns when riding one. Especially since most younger riders may have never seen one before.
I did read on the Honda.com website that the ATC90 had 7hp. Not much, but then again, there's not much to an ATC90. It's pretty light! But when you finally get it above 20mph, it bounces all over the place in the bumps!! It can be a thrilling ride in fear of flying off and breaking a bone or two.
But you are right, only the Z can jump out of helicopters safely. Never attempt that with an ATC90!

Actually I am mrbones because of the high density and incredible strength of my bones. I've never actually broken any of them. Even when I used to ride my old ATC200s above the ankle breaking speed of 40mph! No suspension can equal busted ankles unless you drink lots of milk. It was a joy to ride my '92 LT250R for the first time. Nice and smooth suspension when compared to three wheelers (even those with suspension like my old '86 200X).
