Frame Cracked On Me
#1
I do jump big and ride hard, but with the support this frame has it should not have cracked. It is cracked on both sides where the front upper shock mount brace is welded to the frame. Now I have to do a major look-over. I also snapped one of the axle adjusting bolts last weekend. Please hold together baby.

i have heard of several people who are now starting to show frame cracks. i remember back in the early days of atv racing. suzuki had problems back then with frames cracking. i know when i bought mine i had to strip it down and gusset it right off the bat. sounds like history is repeating its self! to bad!

Yeah, I was going to say, seems like Suzuki has always had frame problems. Too bad. It wouldn't stop me from buying a Z but I won't be in the market for a new quad for a couple of years.

Here are the pics of the gussets. I stitch welded the inside to keep the heat down on the frame. A continuous weld would have looked better, but if the frame is this weak I don't want to weaken it any more. Hopefully this does the trick.
