The Vinson does good stock but its shocks arent quite up to big air. If you go with a set of works shocks all round you can jimp a vinnie like a sport quad. And if it doesnt have enough power for yah there are exhausts and engine mods available. Theres a guy i race with that has a vinnie decked out like the one they tested in atv action a while back. That thing was sweet. You could take big air with out bottoming the suspension with the works shocks he had on it. Rumor has it that suzuki is working on a 650twin that will be available in an outo and manual. Maybe you might want to wait. They are suppose to be releasing it at the show in dec.

Another quad to consider is the Vinson's evil twin, the Arctic Cat 500i. Exact same motor in 2003, available in auto or 5-speed. And on the 500i you get a fully independent suspension and 12" of ground clearance (10" of wheel travel all the way around).
I have a 400i 5sp and it climbs hills just fine. Once or twice it's bogged down enough in 1st that I had to put it in low, but once in low it went right up. The 500i makes a LOT more torque so it'd do even better.
A friend of mine is getting a 500i 5sp tomorrow... he chose it after riding my 400i and comparing it to my Grizzly (which is a hill climbing beast). That says a lot.
