Just wondering how they are doing? Are the rear breaks, suspension, transmission and drivetrain holding up good? Thanks for any input anyone can give me. I have been thinking about buying the 250z for my son.

 

I bought an Ozark for my wife when they first came out. She has put a lot of time on it and Loves it. I use it at the dragstrip to haul stuff around, and my Nephew rode the H**l out of it in the sand at Winchester Bay on the Oregon Coast. So far, not one single problem. I am so impressed with it, that we will be getting one of the LTZ250's when they come out for her to ride in the sand. The Ozark is a Great little Trail bike, and at least where we ride, it goes everywhere my wife needs it to go.

 

I compared a honda recon , yamaha timberwolf, suzuki ozark, and a kawasaki bayou220, and even the polaris 325 We ended up getting a red ozark feb 2002, It felt better looks nicer and handles very well, very strong 250 moter very fast too, get the ozark, I personally drove it into the ground and it kept on going strong all day I jumped it off of some real mean cliffs and the suspension took it very well, all my friends were totally blown away by its handling Its suprizingly light for a sport utility I used it to haul 80 pound sacks of cement up a hill in reverse all day and it did that nicely then went for a fun afternoon on a saterday its an all around great all purpose bike, We have had no problems whatsoever its real economical on gas we love it my wife likes it so much she wants the new yellow suzuki z250 basically an ozark but much sportier good luck.

 

Just bought mine a month ago. Rides really nice and seems to be holding up! I have had to bend the sides of the wheels back into shape after ridding on the trails. The metal used on the wheels seems to bend very easy. No big deal. I have seen many ATVs with aluminum wheels. I don't see why anyone would want aluminum wheels when ridding close wooded trails with rocks and roots.

 

I purchased one for my daughter...rides nice...actually in our group half the time everyone wants to take hers for a quick spin...sporty and a blast to ride...holds up nice...having some problems starting it...very temperamental and the dealer around here stinks service wise. Cant give it any gas to start it or it seems to like flood...but once its started its a great machine

 

the suzuki ozark is a great machine. igot mine 6 months ago. its a blast! when people here that my fourwheel is a sport/ute they think 3 things: heavy, slow, ugly. but its anything but that!
it weighs a mere 403, dominates ttrs,recons,250exs,blasters, on a good day the mighty300ex. plus this one hot looking quad. its yellow color and flared fenders gives sport/ute a whole new look. just break it in right, mines burning oil. i regret giving it whole throttle the first day i rode it. but thats a problem that could have been prevented. but other than that mine is very quick and feels light handling. if there is one thing i change change it would be tiny suspention( its 5.5 inches but bottoms out easily on harsh 20 foot doubles) , its low gearing, and those rear tires.(they're fine but i need a more aggressive tread to throw bigger roost, and i hate ballon tires!) if you get youre son the z250 he love you for ever. they changed weight to 366, a more free flowing exaust, revised gearbox, and a tri-oval carburater for crisper throttle response. hope i was some help. soon im purchasing the kfx400 not that the ozark is dull but the kfx has an exellent value and mmmooonnnntttrrrooouuuss power.
