Need major help Axle bolts ~!!!!!

Can you be a little more specific? Are you talking about the nuts that hold the hub in place, or the axle nut itself? Here are some steps to remove your axle.
1 - take your tires off
2 - break the large nuts off the hubs
3 - loosen the axle nuts - the large ones on the axle itself
4 - loosen the 2 bolts that hold your rear brake caliper and set caliper aside and slide off the rotor.
5 - depending on what model you have, loosen the chain by the 4 bolts going through the swingarm and carrier (88-92 models) or loosen the pinch bolts and slide your carrier forward (85 & 86 models) and remove your chain.
6 - slide the axle out of the carrier, you may have to tap it out, if so don't damage the threads for your hubs on the end of your axle.

its the axle bolts on the axle it self.. there approximtly to on each side of the axle.. there was threadlock used so kinda hard to break off... anyways my carrier is in peices lots of money $$$$$

Oh, I know what you mean now. You're talking about the axle nuts that hold the axle on. Well, if they are threadlocked they can be tough. You may need to use a large pipe wrench with a cheater bar to break them loose. Try to be careful and get a good bite on them though. By the way, what year model do you have? An axle carrier is a chunk of change, but if you have an '87-'92 you may want to save for a whole new round housing style swingarm with a carrier.......pricey, but well worth it!

Is there nuts on each side? If so,on my LT230 to remove the axel you take the nuts off the sprocket side, which is opposite to most machines. It confused me untill I asked which side was to be removed. Hope that helps

Well, do you need the whole carrier, or just the bearings? I would estimate a new carrier with bearings to be appx. in the $300 range. There are several places you could try to mail order them from also. Just pick up a magazine and look in some of the ads. PM me if you need any more help, I think I may have an old one at the house that is still in fair condition.
