How do I determine the model year of a Quadzilla? The seller said he was told it is a 89 but is not sure.

 

two ways . look at the a arms . if the top arm is solid all the way across . its an 87 . if it mounts in two spots (one for each side of arm)its an 88-90 . also the 87 had 6 head studs . the 88-9 7 . other than that have to check the vin code . the suzuki dealer has that on file . hope this helps .

another way to describe the front A-arms is they used a rectangular tubing in '87. They switched to a round tubing in '88. The head studs is also correct, 6 in '87, 7 in '88 and newer.

 

On the VIN # what is the 10th digit or letter? This will tell you what the year is! I will have to find my book to exactly what # or letter represents 1989.

 

The a arms are solid across the top and square, the 10th letter is "H" and it has 7 head bolts.

It may be an 87 frame with a later model motor.
