That seems to be a problem with the 400ex and Raptor too.

 

My boyfriends' brother's Z has been in the shop more than he's had it in his garage due to tranny problems and engine probs.....the tranny probs were bent shift fork - the engine problem was a result of the shop not putting the motor back correctly the first time......he's also got the cracked frame and his seat comes off sometimes during races.........axle is also bent. He only had the quad since November. However, I think his seems to be an isolated incident - there doesn't seem to be many other Z owners with they tranny probs he's had.

it has a tendency leave you behind when ya hit the gas. =)

No problems, had mine since 6/02. Have rode on MX tracks, woods trails, sand dunes, mud, ice, & snow. Great machine, completely stock except for reverse rev. limiter disabled.

no probs hear, even in big rocks I climb and fly over. I even rolled it pretty good a few weeks ago, the plastic looked all bent out of shape but went and took it all off and put it back on and it looks new again. I think I like the ride better than my Raptor.
