adamant- I don't think that all dealers pay the same amount. I think that the dealers that buy more get better prices. I remember a few years ago a dealer was selling Quadrunner 500's for dirt cheap.
While other dealers could not touch his prices. He told me that he gets them by the tractortrailer load.
It was also at a time when Suzuki was getting rid of them and he took advantage of it.

go to www.atvprice.com, for 10 bucks, you can buy a FACTORY INVOICE of the real price of the atv, and believe me I did for the Big Bear and was very surpised at the difference............

Dealer Invoice Report
2003 Vinson 500 4 x 4
List Price: $6599
Dealer Cost: $5708
Dealer cost includes freight from the manufacturer to the dealership.
Assembly Cost: $50 per Suzuki dealer price sheet
Each dealership has its own method of figuring the actual cost of assembly and preparation for sale.
Ready to Sell Cost: $5758
Dealer Holdback: This Suzuki ATV has 5% (of list price) dealer holdback.
Holdback money is paid to Suzuki dealers in September for units that are sold between September 1 and August 31 of the previous model year. Dealers must pay Suzuki the full "Dealer Cost" price and wait 1 to 12 months after selling the machine to receive their dealer holdback.
Wholesale Incentives: none at this time
Retail Incentives: Program dates - January 2 - March 31, 2003 Suzukifest Spring Blast
Customer "Cash Back" - Quadrunners sold in January $400, February $350, March $300 - subtract from "Ready to Sell Cost"
The "Ready to sell cost" is the cost of the machine with NO PROFIT to a dealer. Dealers do not stay in business very long by selling machines for no profit.
Many dealers charge additional fees for "Freight and Setup" over and above the selling price of the machine. Add the "Selling Price" to the "Freight and Setup" charges and subtract the "Ready to sell cost" to determine the PROFIT a dealer is asking to make.
