Vinson Manual and Belt
#1
I have an 03 Vinson auto, where can I get a good service manual, and the Dealer is telling me there is no belt available yet, I think my belt might need replaced. They want $62 for manual, is that reasonable?

I own a 2002 vinson, I priced a belt for mine and the belt is like $175.00 for it. I asked the dealer why it was so much and their reply was that it's made out of Kevlar. They said you should never have to replace the belt under normal use. I was wondering why you think you need to replace it? If it's slipping have you drained it to see if you have water in the belt housing? That will make it slip real bad

Took the Vinson over the bars twice in mud and water! I pulled the cover off and it had alot of mud caked in there. I cleaned it the best that I could and then took it to the Dealer. They said the belt had frayed edges, but to keep riding and it might actually get better. BTW I never saw any frayed edges. Belt only slips when you go from low to high. I figure I would replace the belt to see if it got better and keep the old for a backup? Where can I get a good repair manual?
