Update staring issue sportsman 500
Thanks again for your help. I found that today when I finally get it started that when I turn in front lights it shuts down. Yesterday back lights shut it down and today front lights. Buddy got home a hour after I left and it fired up multiple times without holding key on and switching run/off switch.just Turing the key did it. A dozen consistent and successful starts it went back to where we started. I greased switch and ignition. I carefully cut plastic wire protectors from switch to the main harnesses and found the wire in perfect condition. Haven't touched the mess of wired below there's lots of dirt and baked mud in there. Should I spray a heavy duty cleaner in there then rinse? Looking into the recall and Chinese box next. This help narrow it down?

Sometimes just cleaning/lubing control switches, ignition switches can solve problems. May be that was all there was to it. Wouldn't flush the wiring area with any thing but electrical cleaner if you must. If it continues to act up,I'd still suspect an ecm module even if it's been replaced already. Too many parts in one that can go out. Here's one that one member had that shorted out.
