Does anyone know if a full size ATV, such as a Prairie, fit into the bed of either a Toyota Taco Double cab or a Nissan Frontier Crew Cab? I think the wheelwells may be a problem, does anyone know any work arounds? Thanks.

 

toyata i doubt it. But like a american truck fit no problem.

 

I can fit a Foreman, into the bed of my mazda pickup, it goes right between the wheelwells.
I think your back tires may be fully on the tailgate with either of those two, and im not sure the tailgate can take that load.

What type of mazda pickup is it? I ma curious to know what the specs are for the dimensions so I can compare it.

Has anyone ever seen a atv in the back of a Nissan Frontier door or tocoma 4 door?

 

Its a 1991, just a beater now, but its 43 inches between the wheelwells, and 62 inch long bed. I cant close the tailgate, when its in, but the back wheels arent on the tailgate.
I was looking at those pickups, and the beds are just too small. I ended up get a full size chevy, extended cab with the v6, and it was probably 3 thousand less than the toyota, and has more room than i need.I easily pull a trailer with two quads and have one in the bed, and 3 guys in the cab, plus all the gear. The toyota and the nissian, dont get any better milage either, than the chevy does. I can still manage 15 mpg fully loaded, 20 unloaded. Plus theres seating for 6 inside.
I dont think the wheel wells will be a problem, its gonna be all that weight on the tailgate, I dont think they were designed to handle weight that way. If its 6 feet, from the front wall, to the tip of the extended tailgate, then it should fit.
Ive seen others, who have those short beds, use 2 x 8 s, under the tires, front and back to keep the load off of the gate.
The other way around this, is get a cheap trailer, I found a used snowmobile trailers for 200 bucks, and it can hold two quads.

Please be as specific about your pick up as possible. I have a trailer but it is a pain to drag it around. A pickup would make my life easier.

 

My ds-650 fits fine in the back of my truck, oh I forgot I got a dually, sorry.

 

My Warrior squeeks between the wheel wells on a '91 GMC Sonoma. Newer body styles have a little more room for a Warrior.
