Default What size enclosed trailer for 3 Quads?

Ive been hauling my 4 quads on my 16 foot open car trailer( I had it before I bought the Quads). My daughter has lost interest riding and now were a 3 Quad family. I was thinking the car trailer may be over kill and maybe I should go with something smaller. I would like to be able to lock up the quads on weekend trips and was wondering what size enclosed I would need? Instead of buying another smaller open trailer. We have a Polaris 500 sportsman , a Honda 400 ex and a yamaha Blaster. Thanks for any info

If the trailer is wide enough you could get away with a 12' trailer. May want to go ahead and get a 14' just to have a little bit of room to store the extras though.

If the trailer isn't wide enough you are probably looking at having to go with a 20' trailer.

I just purchased a 24' enclosed that is a full 8' wide. Best thing I've purchased in a long time. Wish I would have done it sooner.

The yamaha and honda can probably be stood up, they are pretty light. I've seen people get pretty creative loading up ATV's.....but I'm not sure about the big utilities, my owner manual suggests against it.

I've seen 3 of the smaller sport quads stood on end in the back of trucks and trailers.

I'm debating an enclosed trailer that will at least hold two quads and my gear so I can clean up my garage.

i say you throw one in the back of the truck and get a 6x12 or a 7x14

otherwise you have to go 20' long or 8' wide like Buck said

I've always realized, find or decide on the size you need and then go one bigger. JMO.

Buy the 8' x 20' . I have pulled 16 footers and 20 footers . Could not tell any difference in the two . When you have two axles the it disperses the weight pretty much the same. Do get the torsion type suspension. You can tell a big difference when going over rough roads.

My tow truck is an old Suburban, so I cant put one in the truck. Im not sure about standing the sport quads up. When I tried it (with the gas turned off)It soaked the air filter and I dont think it will trap much dirt with the oil washed out. I thought about running the carb dry but Im not sure about doing that with the 2 stroke, the oil injector is blocked off and we run premix. Thanks for the input , I may have to go with the 16 or 20 foot. Unless I can turn the smaller quads sideways and pull the Polaris straight in.

I kept looking at your screen name just now and couldn't figure out what was going on. Then it hit me, you've been profiled my friend.

I had to think back and remember what it was when you posted this the other night.

I guess someone didnt like my screen name. So I had to change it. I dont want to be blocked again,we dont want any free thinkers on the forum I use that screen name on ebay ,I never thought about it being a problem.
