Was wondering if any of you all have a wiring diagram showing how to wire the trailer for electric brakes. Apparently the guy who had it before I did, Wired up the brakes wrong. They lock up when I plug the trailer into the plug. It was hooked up to the 12v supply, so i unhooked and hooked to the electric brake and they will not work. Makes my intergrated controler flash on and off. Shows trailer but then puts Check trailer message on message center.

Does it have the connector with 6 round pins?
There are two different ways that those 6 pins are sometimes set up, and with older trucks or trailers often being set up with the brake and the battery positions reversed from what is now standard.
The 7 rectangular pin RV type plugs are pretty well standardized, and the adapters that go from the 7 pin to the 6 round pin often can be taken apart to adapt to a trailer with the older wiring configuration, so if you are using an adapter...
Personally, I'd just change everything to the current configuration.
This page shows the function and wire color of the pin locations of both types.

As far as how the brakes are wired, they are in parallel to each other. Most RV's and smaller trailers have either Al-Ko or Dexter brand brakes and axles, and both have nice owners manuals available for free download.
