Default Can't decide on a trailer?

thanks for the post but to small for me. I still can't figure out what to go with. I just sold our race car and all parts so my 24 foot enclosed trailer is empty. Yesterday I put the two XP's in nose to nose but with the cabinets, the two quads there was only room for my 1 of my kids sports quads. Bottom line is can't use it for four quads, to big for my kids and their buddies to easily tow so it looks like I am back to a 16' x 101 Triton. That is bigger than I prefer but no way around it if I want to tow four quads.

Hey Ruggo, I got a used snowmobile trailer that is 101"x12'. It is perfect for three of the largest quads. I have the 2 seater X2 and my son's ATP is the same size lengthwise. We can load those two lengthwise using the tilt feature of the trailer and one across the back using a loading ramp. We've had a few trips now with 3 full size quads on the trailer and one in the bed of the truck. It's a nice time together with my son and buddies. I got it for about $1000 and took off the aluminum top that was on it. It was in rough shape. I put eyebolts every couple feet and it has been working out well.

Hi Moose ...... I think I got the snowmobile trailer option from you before and after much time researching that seems to make the most sense. I thought I had it nailed with a 101x12 or 101x14 would be perfect for 3 full size on the trailer and one sport in the truck bed. But then we got my wife a new Tahoe so now I am thinking that we might want to use it versus my high mileage pickup so that means 4 on a trailer. Plus I would like my kids to have the option to use it and load the trailer up with 4 or 5 sport quads and they can all go. So I guess I am at the 101X16 snowmobile trailer, the Triton looks good. The only rub is most of the time it will be myself and my wife or a friend and the 16x101 is sort of big but can't help that if I want to transport 4 full siz quads.

Hi Ruggo, I bought the 12' for the reason that it would be too long for me to get the 14 or the 16. The 14 would probably be just enough room to fit 4 fullsize quads on. Barely. I think the XP is 84". That's 7 ft. A sport quad is usually more like 5.5-6' long. So, I think you could fit 4 in a pinch. I would use ratchet straps to make sure nothing moved if you did go this way.

You know Moose your right in that the 14 would be able to fit 4 quads (2 full, 2 sports) and from a storage and trailhead parking the 14 is more desirable. BUT I am not sure if those two reason should out weigh getting the 16 and having plenty of room for four full size. The cost difference is minimum so it is really storage and parking so I don't think I give up much by going with the 16 and the option of 4 full size ATV's is pretty good to have. I get my bonus the end of this week so it is decision time.

I have a 16 Foot open car trailer with tandem axles. I have had 5 quads on it. I could probably fit 6. I use it for every thing. I have an old 8x8 that I keep my Sleds on. I have a 1 ton so the weight of the trailer makes no difference. I picked it up used for 500.

Well I finally ordered a trailer over the weekend. I bought a Triton 16' x 101" Elite, should hold 4 full size loaded front to back side by side. Dealer says I will have it in a couple weeks but even if delayed will still have before mud season is over and the trails open again.

Picked up the trailer the other day, very happy with it. The 101'' width would be very tight if the XP's had to be side by side and the tires were wider or if I had to use spacers.

Triton makes a nice piece, all aluminum frame, solid deck, ok ramp, plenty of room and tie downs for 2 XPs which are on the large size and my kids sport quads.
