Merry Christmas one and all. so did my spoiled brethren get atv stuff? Hoss did you get that EFI 700? If so, see my previous post about yer wife coulda had twice the man for half the quad!! hey, i heard there were some significant problems with Polaris 700cc engines, but i"m pretty sure it was the non-EFI models from the past 2 years. you being a Polaris guy probably already know all about it. I just read an atv mag that rated the best-in-class 700 to be the Suzuki King Quad!! I woulda guessed the Kawi cuz I'm hearing great things about their 700, and 750. the BIC 450 was the Yamaha 450, but funny, it's due to adding IRS. I have the last year before IRS, and they say last year mine didn't even make it to the top 4-5, cuz of no IRS. I know IRS rides nice, but the parts are MUCHO expensive. and in off-camber riding, I've heard guys complain on IRS one wheel will drop and make it tippier.

so MD, how'd the daughter like the Rap80?? How old is she? It really is a bullet proof, proven unit. we had an '88 Yamaha 80, but it had no shocks or suspension at all. But it was a 4-spd and flew. I wish they'd kept that 4th gear in these Rap80's, cuz they're pretty well exactly the same (except suspension).

well, as predicted, my wife cut a hole in my pocket so I'd have something to play with this year. but i hope you guys all got spoiled. kids sure did, but nothing major like new machines.

well, enjoy yer holidays!!

Merry Christmas FBK!!!! Okay, Merry Day-After Christmas...
Christmas was a blast!!! It's always fun with the kiddies. Without them, Christmas would be just another day. It's fun to see thier faces and play with thier toys.

And yes, wifey came through with the 700 efi. It's a beautiful bike, with custom wheels and mossy oak. It's pretty powerful and I can't wait to push it to it's limits (without killing myself). I love IRS...however, it's all personal choice.

I'm hoping to take most of this week off. We have shut the plant down for the holidays, but that's when we do maintenance and special facility projects...so, I guess I'll stop in from time to time to supervise. I'm taking my ATV's to southern Utah (where it's a little bit warmer) this week to go riding.

The daughter loves it She spent the day at our friends house, who own 3 acres. Been riding it all day. She's 8 and has been riding 5 years. When she was riding it yesterday, it seemed to be bogging down When I asked her about it, she told me she fixed it. She wasn't use to the different style of choke and was riding with the choke on. SO, when she turned the choke off, it ran great. Little kid solved the problem herself and without my imput Guess, at one time I couldn't wait for them to do that Now, I wish I never let it happen they won't need daddy

I rode it around for a bit, that thing really does haul my butt around at a good clip I know what you mean about the 4 speed. But, for the riding we do, I think the 3 speed will be just fine. I didn't test the suspension out, it doesn't travel all that much, but, I don't think she'll be hitting long jumps anyways.

Hoss, make sure you post some picture new bad boy We plan on traveling to ride tobut, looks like this storm blowing in is going to cover the entire state Right now, playing it by the weather.

I got a new Shania cd, new dvd and a dvd player Gave up the big gifts, so my youngest could get the Rappy 80

the EFI is supposed to be great. yep, the vast majority prefer IRS. and I bashed camo before, but i saw a Kawi in camo (same as mossy oak) and i opened my mind and it didn't look that bad. I think it's when the rider is in battle fatigues with the camo i think,"Rambo-wannabee".

man, we need a battery store. One laser tag set= 12 AA, 2 trucks (remote)= 12 AA, 4- 9V batteries for different remotes, 2 special NiMH battery packs for the terrain twisters. and then the wife's special man-replacement toy has a kick start on it and is a 2-stroke!

well MD, it's not like 4th gear is a must, it's just that the original bullet-proof design had it, so why did they go away from it? seems dumb to me, they already had the mass-production set up to make it, why add the expense of the design change, and give the consumer less machine? Probably some plaintiff lawyer driven speed/safety issue. what a shame. now i see they have a Grizz 80 and Rap 80!!

you're in CA aren't ya? so WTF is this storm going to cover you in? RAIN!! If we let rain stop us here on the wet-coast, we'd never leave the house and would be post-hoes on sites like this!! UH-OH! I just realized my self-fullfilling prophecy! I'm turning into Toyo......OH Noooooooooooo!! (well, that'd be okay if i get to have some of his better looking leftover biatches).
