New truck along with my previous two trucks. I bought all of them new and they're all still in the family. 1999 with 4.8, and 2008 with 5.3. Both have 3.42 gear ratio. The '08 has the Z82 H.D Trailering Equipment but that isn't nearly the same thing as the Max Trailering Pack on the '12. The '99 currently has ~255,000 miles on it and still runs just fine.

Thanks.

I don't still own all of them though - just the 1999 and the 2012. When I bought the '08 my son was in high school so I let him drive the '99. When I bought the 2012, my son bought the '08 (some of it is still in my name as he didn't have established credit yet - had to do a joint loan). I let him have the truck for the payoff (plus the $100 that the dealer charged for "in and out"). Cost me about $3k on trade but put him in a newer and nicer truck for $5k to $6k less than what he would have had to pay retail on a similar truck.

Beautiful truck .. & thanks for your service btw.

Gotta add another Chevy to the list ... even though it's disappointed me several times in the reliability department. She looks purty ... but not worth the $30k this bitch cost me, IMHO.

I like most of the drivetrain though. The 5.3 is fun to drive, although lacking in off-the-line power. I've got a leaky front diff seal from the driver's side front axle which no doubt is a bad bearing. I've had brake issues, electrical issues, and the lower ball joints were toast at 38k miles. It's got 56k on her now. Bought it brand new in April, '07. It's got a Corsa S/S cat-back system, K&N cold-air intake, Hypertech premium-fuel program, '10 LTZ mags, Putco Rocket Locker rails, Weston wheel-to-wheel step rails, GM chrome handles, fuel door and mud guards, and a Roll-Bak tonneau.

It used to have a Peragon tonneau, but it broke twice in the 2 years it was on there, so it went to the scrap yard. Real nice for $800 ....

Those Putco bed rail LED's have been replaced once already, because the ends have chrome that is so cheap & thin that they corroded & looked like crap after just 2 years. The replacements are no better. I guess that's what you get nowadays ....

Anyway here it is:

Nice trucks everyone! Here's mine:
2009 Silverado LT Z71, 5.3L, 2" lift for the 285's I haven't put on yet (gonna run the 265 Hankook Dynapro's one more winter), K&N CAI, a few cosmetic additions, de-badged tailgate, Extang tri-fold tonneau cover. Haven't decided on which exhaust system I want to go with yet...

Currently has 65k trouble-free miles.

BTW Smitty4 I like the blacked out bowtie on the front. I've been considering doing that myself...
