You heard wrong. They are great . I've had mine about 8 months
and I have never been stuck and I have pulled out every
other quad in the neighborhood at least once bar none, even
the big boys. Also use it to pull a mower at least 4 hours
a week!

The only thing I have experienced and believe me this is no big one
was a little difficulity shifting to neutral but this was only with the
engine off. If you downshift to neutral while the engine was running
no problem.

After about 200 miles this problem simply went away, now
it will hit neutral everytime .

I later discovered this should not have been a problem
anyway because if you just pull in the brake lever
the Eiger will start in any gear anyway. I guess it
pays to read that owners manual!

Other than this no tranny problems. This is with me
riding trails , a 14 year old jumping motocross jumps
and looking for any available water or mud and
a 11 year old ( i know he shouldn't be on this quad)
who does power slides for hours on end.

We are very happy with the Eiger so far.
I just installed a winch so I'm sure the quad
will undergo futher destructive testing soon!

My Eiger has been great! No problems yet! Fast, good in mud, and very fun to play with!!

Eigers are great machines and I like the new camo they have on them.
