Default Rubber Drain Bolt

I stripped the threads on my atv so I went to pepboys and got a rubber drain plug. Does anybody know if they are any good? it seems to be holding oil. Thanks

I guess time will tell. Maybe you should carry an extra plug and some oil with you for a while.

I have an old Ford pickup that a "Pennzoil Quick Lube" shop stripped the pan plug in. I put in one of those rubber plug jobs and it's been many a mile back. I change the plug about every third oil change because they tend to get chewed up. I don't think it would hold it's seal if it got hit by a rock or limb. Be best to make a shield to cover it or better yet repair the original hole.
