Go with the Kodiak and stick a $1000 in your pocket. It's got all the features and more. Plus it's a Yamaha

Gopher500, I have a 02 650 my brother has a 02 650 my dad has a brute 750, I also have a twin peaks 700 and a modified twin peaks 800, and a buddy I ride with the majority of the time has a Twin peaks 700. The only one that runs hot from time to time is the modded 800. I have had my P650 run the fan more than normal when towing heavy loads or when the radiator was full of mud but I don't run 28" tires and have never tried to ride in -12 weather. With 25" tires the Prairie chassis has the lowest center of gravity in its class. I would say tipping problems are your tires. 28" tires would have a signifigant effect on the quads center of gravity. I have resolved the cooling problem with 800 by removing the stat and running Evans coolant (Evans is the only one I have found that works on my 800). It sounds to me like the problem child you are talking about is in need of some TLC and some 25-26" tires.

yeah 28" tires on a 650cc quad seems kinda high and would probably put a lot of strain on the atv.

I'm 6'3" and weigh 245 and my Eiger stays pretty good with my buddy who has a Warrior. I have to pull him out of mud holes and he can leave me a little on twisty trails.
