I am a reallly, really, big fan of the Eco-System. I think it's a highly under-appreciated pipe. It is barely louder than stock (5Dbs) but has the same power of my old and louder Supertrapp! It also looks nice. If you ride National Forest, then yes, I would definetly get it over the Utility version. From how I understand it, even with the quiet core, it is still loud....very loud. With the Eco you would always be within park service standards.

It does have a nice tone, not loud though. I think you'll like it. It sounds a lot louder to you on the machine but those behind you, etc don't notice it being really loud. I still had the machine jetted for the Supertrapp when I put mine on and then rejetted afterwards, only to find out that the HMF took the exact same jet settings. I've got a neighbor custom making me an exhaust snorkel to bolt to it. Another nice thing about the pipes is how the rear cap unscrews allows you to weld a snorkel on and replace the end cap with a stock one when you don't need it.

At the same time I put the pipe on, I went from a DJ 124 to a DJ 122 because I thought the pipe would be a little more restrictive than the Supertrapp. I did a plug test to see how I was reading and it showed I was lean. I ended up back at the 124 afterwards because the HMF flowed the same as the Supertrapp. Also, I went riding yesterday and had the first real opportunity to try my clutch kit out. It makes a very noticible difference spinning the tires in the deep, thick, stuff!
