The Outlander does have a fully locking front differential; it does it progressively and automatically. Most mag,s say it is one of the best out there.

hmmm, I didn't know a viscous coupling fully locked. How does that work? I didn't think the liquid was a fixed medium.

I thought it was more of an anti-slip than locker?

I do like it better than the torque sensing that I ride now.

More on the thread though, I would wait for the 2nd year Bombardier if that's what you want.

I have over 200 (mostly harsh) miles on my BRP Outlander 800XT and I can tell you first hand, that the hype lives up in this case.

Admittedly, I haven't ridden all of the quads. But, the Griz doesn't even compare. It isn't even close to the same class. The Sportsman 800 is a fantastic machine and the best at utility and ride. The Brute Force is a nice machine, but doesn't compare favorably to the Outlander in power, power delivery, handling, or ride.

I have been up and down EXTREME inclines, through mud to the fenders, and through a rock garden that I never thought I would get through. The Outty 800 IS the real deal. As for as reliability goes, every magazine touts their reliability. They build, arguably, the best watercraft and snowmobiles in the world, and Rotax has ALWAYS been reliable. BRP is starting to put the same type of effort into ATVs as they have Seadoos and Skidoos. So, sit back and watch as their market share continues to trend upward
