How to attatch amsteel to Warn 2.5ci
Anyone? I purchased new amsteel & everything, but how to attach to my warn 2.5ci?
The warn cable was looped with steel disc preventing it from pulling back through coned/tapered opening, how are you attaching synthetic to this type of winch drum?
(There is no place to screw or bolt the factory eyelet to, and it won't fit through the drum opening with eyelet attached...)
Thanks everyone,
Jimbo

Wrap a piece of electrical tape around the rope, 1 layer of tape, next to the eyelet. Cut through the tape and rope to remove eyelet. Feed rope, using same path the steel cable ran, through hole in drum. Pull about 4" to 5" of tail through the drum. Route tail end back under the rope where it enters the drum and lay across drum. This way when you wind up the rope it will hold the tail end from slipping through the hole in the drum.
Clear as mud buy I'm not sure how else to describe it.
