Has anyone used these? I have moved to Alaska and really do not want to buy another toy. If my quad will do the trick, I'ld rather put traxx and skis on it during the long winters than buy a snowmobile. Also, can a 4-stroke do the job, or, should I just brake down and buy a snowmobile?

what kind of quad do you plan putting the snow tracs on

 

I don't want a 2-stroke, and I would like to stay away from a 4x4, just to keep cost down. I am a big guy, so I was thinking at least a 300. And I want it to be air-cooled. Anything else I'm easy about.

 

Get a 300EX or a Warrior if you don't want a 4x4, I found a page where you can buy trax. They are 2 grand for both of them though. E-Mail me if you want the pages address.
