Ontario does not recognizes the difference between a regular ATV and a 2up yet.

I've heard that some of the US states require a 2-up but can't remember which ones. I believe Hatfield/McCoy requires them. Not 100% on them. I don't think there are any requirements yet in the New England area with the exception of the Mt. Washington Auto Road ride that requires 2-ups for 2 riders.

Kids, then the two-up machine would be only choice. More stable then a one-up.

It would suck to flip over on a steep hill. It would suck even worse to squash your kid. The longer wheelbase of the 2-ups make the less likely to flip over.

I'm going the 2-up route but I'm shocked the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) has completely banned 2-up riding. Hopefully these laws will change as I had planned to ride some public trails.
