EIGER 400 4x4 Auto
#1
I have decided on a 2003 Suzuki Eiger 4x4 Auto that i will be getting in the middle of October. I know all the features and specifications on them but i have never test drove one. I have heard and read reviews on them and they all gave great reports on this bike! Can anyone tell me how you have liked yours so far? Like how is it in mud, top end speed, and any other details you could give me i would really appreciate it!!!!!!

Short story: You'll love it!
The Eiger is a great all-around bike. Very light steering, likes to rev quickly and is just all around fun to ride. After 400 miles, I was finally able to get mine stuck in the mud - in a soft mucky hole that came up over the tops of the front fenders. I was trying to push it just to see what could stop it as it can pull its way through most everything. Ground clearance is good and the plastic skidplate just slides over everything.
Top speed is in the mid 50's. Gas milage is good - about 25 mpg or more so you get an easy 100 mile range. From what the dealers say, the auto may be just a bit slower/ less powerful than the 5-speed but not by much.
Best of luck with it.

A buddy of mine had a 400 Eiger auto. It has a pretty good ride for a SRA machine, adequate but not thrilling power, and proved to be reliable. I felt it was a lot of machine for the price.
I don't recall if the CVT housing has a drain, or if you have to pull the cover...

A 400 Eiger/KQ is in our group, you will not be disappointed. I was going to buy one but I needed a full size chassis and the Eiger was like my Big bear a Mid size chassis.
