OSR,Where are you in sc,if it's not a real long haul about 3-4 of us will come down there.

 

I would be interested in bringing a bunch of bikes to pull also. Is there some good competition in the classes or just people off the street pulling?

Sorry I can't say, the compo is listening. We pull that bike in the mod class!

Big tires and lots of HP! I will say the only bike ever to beat it was a 727 grizz! Before we made some more improvements.

Do you switch the tire/wheel combo to go trail riding, or is strictly for pulling?

 

We pull other bikes to, but the one we are talking about is mostly pulling. My son puts 26" vamps on if he takes it riding, but not often.

 

I am 60 miles south of COLUMBIA SC. for me its 6.5 hrs. to windrock(oakridge tn). as far as riding most all around here is private land. we did have poker runs (hare scrambles) in the area , but due to people trying to sue the land owners for their own stupidity,they have seased to exist. i have rode windrock 1 time , it's a awsome place to ride. the people are very friendly and the terrain is very challenging in some areas. hope to go more often this year, going to buy a yearly pass.
i don't have the schedule for this years mud drags , should have it mid feb. i hope. the mud races are drag only, no pulls.
we run aprox. 5 tracks during racing season. all with in 50miles of home.

as far as the sled pulls they are at windrock ohv in oliver springs tn. from what i saw the guy that owns the sled is a honda freak. they had 8(i think) ranging from 350 to 650 cc. 3 of those were open class
(400-500cc). they didn't run a open mod(600 + cc's) class no entrants .
most competion are just average stock trail machines or some with minor mods.
think thats why its just a trophy and bragging rights, no money. it's just good clean fun. its a hoot to watch, they run everything from banshee's to 4x4 ,even the lil etons.
