First thing, pulling is easy. pushing, now that takes torque. I have had several quads (Polaris 350l-400l &500 sportsman) and have tried several others.I have never seen anything push like my new Bombardier Quest 650XT. This year I had a lot of snow to push, up here in the frozen north.

Hey killer, the Scrambler does NOT have a low gear and is not for pulling other four wheelers out of the mud. Not saying it won't, but that's why you smoked the belt. If you want a machine to pull with, buy something with low gear. We've NEVER smoked a belt with our 500 HO's, with over 5000 miles on them in the past year.
It's ok to have your opinion, but at least make it an informed one.

No Jap motor in the 600/700 POLARIS quads. They are totally designed & Made in America! With rated tongue weight of 150 pounds and rated towing capacity of 1500 pounds nothing else compares. That's rated but actual is quite a bit more. Awesome stump pulling power and the best ride in the business...Sportsman 700.
The jap company that builds the other Polaris engines is partially owned by GENERAL MOTORS CORP.(Fuji)

I would go with the honda foreman 400 or 450 because i have a 400 and it has absolutley AWESOME low end torque. It will spin all four tires in second gear on dry ground easy. I have pulled a 500-700 pound cultipacker on plowed and disked up ground and it does great.
