sandbomber! Welcome! It's always good to welcome a new face to the "looney bin"
You'll not find a better group of riders
and..... 700.... Maybe we should get a group together, pick a date & time, and come ride.. I mean walk through the tree farm as a group! (OK we might make quad noises ) what does everyone think??

Welcome Sandboomer!
Update on tranny: I changed the oil on my predator before I went to ride this morning... Found a bunch of shavings on both drain plugs and the oil filter was covered. The predator's oil filter is in it's own case, so you can see the pleats in the filter. Loaded it up and took it to the dealer with the oil filter. He was a little suprised by what he saw... Hopefully he'll know what caused it.
Dingo, are you going to ride with us up at walker valley tomorrow?
I could go for a christmas tree...
Group photo sounds great!!!

I know this may sound a little early, but I thought I would put the bug in your ear...
I ride the Coosbay and Winchester dunes quite a bit, I might make a few improptu trips before this, but I would like to invite you guys/gals down with us sometime in March/April time-frame for a large group ride. The reason for suggesting this early is because some people need quite a bit of notice to organize their vacations.
I typically take off Thursday mid-day, ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday and drive home on Monday. Three days of dune riding is a lot. We're usually ready to go home on Monday... If you go before mid April, the Horsfall and Spinreel campgrounds are walk-in (no reservations required). Getting there Thursday night, you'll find a camp site.
For those of you who have loud after market exhaust system, it is still worth the trip if you switch back to the stock system. The noise level is 93db and is enforced. It's now over a hundred dollar ticket... If you don't know how lound your exhaust is, I can help.
Anyway, I find these dunes to be great for all skill levels (except for some at winchester) and would be happy to organize a ride if you're interested.

I go to the camp ground, Not as busy there. From Stanwood go to Bryant. Take Hy 9 untill you cross the one lane bridge. You will see the Finn Settlement rd to the right, go untill you get to the stop sign at the end of it. Straight across the rd is the entrance to the camp ground.

Dazeys, Thanks for the directions to the campground, I'll be there between 9:30 and 10:00 tomorrow. Do they charge anything for parking at the campground?

WSQR will be at Driftwood 2 April 14-18 for a huge club ride. If anyone (2mny) would like to go, leave me a message or post. Cool people, cooler beverages, and coolest riding!!!
Hey! All of you people going to Tahuya next weekend, check out the new portion of the salmon trail to the right of the Sandhill Gravel pit. We defenitely built it for real 2-track riding. Someday all the 2 track will be this way! Let me know what you think.
