Kevin
Thanks for the information on the portable shower. Sorry about not being able to make the Sandlake trip, hope it's a good thing the family visiting, but there is always another day for Sandlake.

Hello everyone,
I hope you don't mind me posting this on your thread, but this is kinda related to the Puget Sound area.
I read your posts and I see that most of you are into trail riding, so I don't know if any of you would be interested in this or not. But......
In October there is going to be the first annual Quad Fest at Pacific Raceways in Kent (used to be Seattle Intl. Raceway).
It's a family event, and all are welcome. Even if you aren't interested in racing, this is a great opportunity to meet more people that love to ride, and just have some fun.
If anyone is interested, here is a link to a posting I put up about the event.

Lower air pressure? Why didnt I think of that. Duh. Some day, I may remember to do that sort of thing. Roberta said she wants a Raptor for herself. Yea, right after I get my V-Force. Anyway, it was nice down there. The weather was partly overcast most of the time but other than that it wasnt too hot or too cold. We took 101 down through Astoria going and came back up through Portland on the way back. I think I prefer the Astroia route a bit better. Not nearly as much traffic. So, who is doing what, when? Derrick I see that you are chanting about Tahuya. Berta and I were thinking about taking a car trip over there to check out the camping spots. Something else I had thought about for the group. Porter Creek would be a great place to camp and ride out of. Since we could access the logging roads right out of camp, everybody would be able to participate in riding.

Hey actionshooter,
I am working on getting some vendors out there. I will be out at the races this Sunday, so I will be able to find out some more info about it. If you know of any vendors that would be interested, let me know! And yes, the new toy is awesome! The handling on that thing is unreal!

Also, dual-sporter had suggested having a harescramble (which is a great idea) and I will be checking on this as well.
If you guys have any suggestions or ideas, I would love to hear them. The whole purpose of this event, is to draw attention to our sport (in a positive way) and get people involved, as well as having a good time. And there is no one better to offer suggestions than the people who are out there enjoying what we already know is an awesome sport!

Hmmm.....I might be up for a dayride tomorrow. Anyone else?

I'm headed down to Seaside Monday. Will definitely be riding at Sandlake Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. Last month I got my mom and stepdad riding at Winchester. Should be a piece of cake to get my dad out at Sandlake. He is an old dirtbiker, but I bet I can get him on a quad !

What else is happening this month? I want to cram as much fun as possible into the next couple of weeks since school is starting the 2nd.

Just got back from Fort Canby yesterday - it was awesome! Rode bicycles - pedal power was a fun change of pace.

Cheers!

Marci
