For "The Place" just take Highway 101, you'll go over a little bridge, take the next exit, turn right, then left, the place is on the right. There's also a road sign right before the exit that says The Place. The exit sign actually says Mud Bay Rd / 2nd AV NW, just remember cross over the little bridge, it crosses an inlet from Mud Bay, the bridge is probably 50' long. Rock Candy Staging Area is 5 minutes from "The Place". I went right past it today on my way to McCleary.
