Are there some of you that don't want to ride the trails exclusively and would rather opt for logging roads? Just think about it so we have a heads up wether we'll split into two groups, if you choose the trails, there won't be logging roads, if you choose logging roads, there will be some trails, if you know where to find them I personally plan on riding just the trails.
I'm with HappaTrailBoss for the trails. I'll have to make sure my wrists are limbered up for those wrist-breakers.

On a personal note, I had my first bill signed into law today! It ensures that our state buildings and schools are designed and built to high performance standards, using energy conservation and environmentally friendly practices. It was a big win as it's the first statewide law in the country of its type. Some days one can actually feel good about the decisions our government makes. I'm sure the next bad bill will bring me back to reality, but today is a good day.

I happen to be in this field of bidness. and Maybe we should just put kids in barns. What the hell do they need these 40 & 60 million dollar schools for? Hell you could just build a big *** shed with some partitions and tell em to wear a coat to school. can we pass a bill that says if you dont have kids you dont have to pay for things that other peoples kids use? all school is tuition based, no tax, we really are in need of reducing the governments Involvment in where our money goes.. JMO kids can learn just as good in a box as a highschool fancier than vegas casino's.

I was talking to a DNR guy about a month ago.

If you want to ride roads, ride behind the gates. Theyre cool with that. If you want to take roads up to capitol peak, And you see a cop, expect a ticket just so you dont get dissapointed.

I ride anywhere and hope I dont get caught. If I get caught, I play stupid.

JUST SAY YOU WERE LOOKING FOR THE NEXT TRAIL ENTRANCE. BE SURE TO SMILE AND KISS HIS/HER BADGE.

I'll think we need to play by the rules. If we go around gates or into areas we are not suppose to be, expect to get busted. Gettin busted, makes us all look bad. Makes us no better than any other hoodlums out there that don't respect the rules. DNR does have there officers patrol the forest due to the problems they have up there.

This group does a pretty good job of following rules as to keep us, and the ATV community, out of trouble.
If there are those that don't want to follow the rules on our rides, we usually tell them so

I do happen to know somebody that has gate keys.........hehehehehe
Just can't use them for riding....DANG IT

Happa, I was just gonna let you know that I am going to be riding the Middle Waddel trails instead. They are just too good right now to pass up. No offense to anyone but my buddies all want to ride at Middle Waddel, majority rules. I hope you all have fun and keep the wheels on the ground. I will see you on the next one. Troy.
I have never seen such a crowded place as Waddell. Way more riders there than at Rock Candy. I only ride Waddell during the week, otherewise you spend to much time fooling around passing or getting passed by others.

quad 4 fun,

The guy expressly told me that we ARE allowed to ride behind gates. They want you there. They are closed to cars and open to ORV's.
They dont want cars and quads to meet.

Cops dont want quads on open forest roads. Especially if there is logging in progress! Due to and incident between a 9 year old and a logging truck on Goat Ranch Road at Tahuya about a month or two ago. The kid was riding on the road and freaked out because of the oncoming truck and took a spill of the side of the road. He was ok despite some scratches.

I think you have it backwards.

We are not supposed to be on working forest roads. Just like Tahuya, if its closed to cars, Its open to ORV's in ORV riding areas.(A.K.A. the north half of Capitol forest)

Thats what the Forestry cops and Mason county Sheriff told me.

What would a Mason county Sheriff know about Capitol Forest? Tahuya yes, Capitol no. And the rules vary unfortunately.
