and they sure opened the market for business in '99 with the 400ex

the three wheeler days they did lead, until the lawsuits spanked them, they learned that jumping into the uncertain can be costly. They did do a great job with the 400ex, but what took them so long to build a watercooled thumper sport quad. Suzuki had built quads for a couple of years before honda marketed one.

 

I think that honda has so much other stuff going on (automobile market) that there atv division doesn't get quite the funding that say yamahas does (these days).
