Considering it will probably be another 5 years until Suzuki gets off it's backside and gets a 450 out(besides, I will eventually just bump my z400 up to a z440 and hang onto it), I am looking at the '06 YF450Z because I like having reverse. However, reading about the 700r, what's the diff? I mean I can read technical stuff until I go crosseyed, but really, I know there isn't a straight comparison. Just because the 700r has more cc's, doesn't necessarily mean it's the more powerful quad. Also, I could go look it up, but does the Honda 450r have reverse finally? Brand wars aside, opinions?

Oh yeah, and I saw they are coming out with an '06 450 wolverine. Was thinking that might be a good multipurpose quad to get.

option number 1. Talk to Jim Searles bout turnin' your 400 into a true 465. number two hold on for halloween WHO SAID THAT?

the 450r and YFZ still no backwards action. The 400ex has the race gear, but yur Z can already lay it down on an ex. my 2 cents is wait for ghosts and goblins to arrive

good morning PSAR!

Jayna LMAO your sooo funny (Hi my name is...........) I'm getting in the same boat too I haven't ridden for a MONTH doesn't look promising soon either!!!!!!!! Hoping Labor Day but who knows!!!

lvbyts..............the honda 250ex are GREAT little quads!! Also the 300ex is too depends on if she wants/can use a clutch I guess, 250ex is smaller than the 300 & you don't have to clutch it just depends on what she wants to do!! Good Luck

Not much new @ the Sandvig house I guess LOL, still got a couple quads for sale, got a guy thats been back 3 times so maybe the 4TH will be a charm

OK, I have a dumb question. Is it worth the drive to Sand Lakes or should you just go all the way to Florence. Don't know if I want to drive that far this weekend or should I just go to Moses (very HOT). Having never been to the Oregon coast, I could use some help. Do I need reservations for Sand Lake, I know you do for Florence ??

Sean, It is an abuse of power for the Tribe (any tribe and there are several do it again) to tell their officers to ticket those they have no power over. They can detain you and call a county or state officer, but not ticket non-indians anymore than I could stop you and give you a ticket.
I'm sure you may know this, but I was talking to a freind of mine who knows a little bit about this sort of issue, but he wasn't aware of it and he was a little confused.
As far as the reservation goes, there is a difference between Criminal and Civil matters. Tickets are covered under Civil I believe. They do have very limited authority on Criminal matters over non-tribal members, they do have to call the County or State Officers in for these issues.
But it "appears" they have much more authority and juristiction over Civil matters.
If nothing else, it is pretty interesting what you learn by researching these types of issues. I'm about tired of searching and reading, very interesting though.
But I have quads to go work on
Hopefully Brett will not be there any longer than he has to. That's why he wants to mind his P's and Q's, so he can get a better job out there somewhere
I just really do hope you do understand that he didn't get in this issue on purpose, and didn't give him a ticket just because he could trying to start something.....
Oh and BTW, I don't know who it was, but he also gave a ticket to some pretty high up tribal guy.
Not sure if it was as Skok tribal guy or not, but somebody up high, yikes
They told him to write everybody on the emphasis patrol, so he did, ooops

Got your PM, and YES, we do need to riding, just need to find the time. Maybe some day rides here soon after kids go back to school
The way it was explained in the paper and by one of the local lawyers is that the Tribal Police can write any Native American (poor term as they migrated here too) reqardless of tribe. But between the treaties and court cases the tribal police do not have the authority to write non-indians for anything. Yes, I know Brett did not step into this because he is a **** or some power mad crazy, he was nothing but pleasent and courtious when he stopped me. But the powers that be on the res seem to be getting more out of control every day, my personal opinion is that it has to do with greed and getting back at the white man for 100+ year old wrongs. I will bring the newspaper this weekend. And you are right, all is good.

Man i saw this beautiful 2005 R6 in the parking lot last night. I almost ran it over so my insurance company could buy him a new one and i could buy the totaled one off the insurance company

You need to go to Sand Lake, then go to Florence or somewhere else so you know the differences. Personally, I go to Coos Bay when driving that far... it's the largest riding area and there's something for everyone.
