For you truck drivers, i have a question. I think i want to get into driving a truck but the only problem is, is everybody wants experienced drivers, Which i am not. I have read the CDL book and i think i'm ready to take the written test. I don't think i would have a problem practicing in a truck as Justin has two semi's sitting in the yard. The only problem is, is everybody wants experienced drivers. I have looked in the paper every week! Oh and there is a place called CRST that will train but they want you to sign a contract saying you will work for them for 6 months. Its long haul and i don't think i can handle being away from home for that long. Any suggestions you guys can give me??

My daughter and her husband drive for CRST (Cedar Rapids Steel Transport, out of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. They live in Whitcha, KS.). If they are gonna train you they damn well want you to work long enough for them to recoup their investment.

Yea i guess they pay for your training and pay you while you are training. Plus if you do sign their contract you get $500. Not a bad deal if you ask me, but like i said its long haul and i don't think i want to do that. From what i understand you can still get trained by them but they don't pay for anything.

Ahhh, today task.......................clutch on mini's 80. Prolly gonna need a good service, and drive belt to begin with, hope the shoes are okay. Might as well just replace it while it's open huh?
