What sizes of tires do you need?

Hey WQ,

As 2mny said, first check the ground on the trailer. It should be screwed or attached to a bolt on the toungue somewhere. Make sure it is not all rusted up real bad. If it is, take it off, clean it up, and put a new connector on the wire. Sand where the bolt or screw attach to the trailer also.

I've never blown a fuse with a bad ground, a bad ground wire usually just makes the lights work funky or not at all. Chances are you may have a short somewhere.

If you know it worked before, than something has happen. Either corrosion or a smashed/pinched wire.

First, I would eliminate a problem on the truck side. Make sure all the lights work on the truck.
Then, take a test light, and check the plug on the truck. If all is good, then you know the problem is on the trailer side.

So:
Start at the plug on the trailer and check each wire all the way back to the lights. Check to make sure a wire has not been pinched and the wire is exposed somewhere.
This may cause a short and blow the fuse.
This sometimes happens right up near the plug on either the vehicle or trailer side.

then:
check the plugs themselves. One side may have been smashed by setting the trailer down on it or something. This is kind of hard to tell because you really can't see in the plug, but if it looks to have been smashed, replace it.

If that doesn't work, come on back, and we'll try some more.........

Good Luck............................

I need some tire advice. I popped my left rear tire yesterday (about a 1 inch stick through the face of the tire). Apparently it cannot be fixed. Here are the options: a replacement tire is $83. I can get a full set of King Quad tires for $200, which includes mounting.

What I really want are ITP Mud Light AT, but am having trouble finding a dealer that can get them in and mounted by Friday. On line, a full set of costs about $230. So, theoretically for about $30 more I can get what I want. Does anyone know a dealer in the Puget Sound area that carries the ITPs in stock?
check RMC they had a bunch of sets yesterday
Unfortunately that more than doubles the cash outlay (2 wheel rear combo is $260, 2 wheel front combo is $230). I just talked with Les Schwab and they have to order these tires and charge shipping to the customer --- that ads $50 or so bucks to the package.
i say spend the 230 and buy a new belt while you are at it

ebay the old ones or give em to TP,,,he has a quad tire storage garage

Hey, you didn't even see the junk ones I have kept.

I'd try these guys for tires too KG Motorcycle Tires. They had good prices when I bought my last set of wheels and tires.
How long did it take to get your tires?
I'm a cheap b'stard so it was standard ground shipping. You could request quicker shipping... Call 'em to find out the details.
