I think Karl put it best when he said keeping the quad as close to stock as possible is the best route for a Duner.
I am gonna tear the old KGB Quad down and check compression, valve clearance, put in the REAL manual clutch I have on the bench and if I can talk Lu into it I might end up seeing how much I can get off a new Raptor 700 with my trade in.

One more gas milage report.
While we were down there at Florence and after Joel told us of his misfortune I figured Id take the slow route home and do the speed limit. My F150 with the toyhauler and 2 bikes comes in at about 12000.
I was getting 7.8 to 8 mpg where ever I went. Not knowing that I was supposed to stay at 60 I drove at 70.
Coming home, I kept it right at 55 in Oregon and 60 in Washington.
And I got 9.1 MPG coming home.
So, for me the trip down to Florence and back was about 680 miles.
Going slower saved me 13 gallons of fuel. About $35 bucks.
BUT, it took probably an hour longer each way. So, is time worth more than the fuel saved?
Personally Id rather spend the extra to get off the road sooner
