Afternoon PSAR!

Interesting discussion... It's a bummer these places are being closed... I'll have to read the link. One of the things I did notice in the quote that Stan posted was a common argument the DNR and the Forest Service have in other articles... "user-built trails". It's hard for anybody to know what the intended trail is or was when they aren't clearly marked. A user comes in and forges a new trail, then others follow and it becomes part of the trail system.

The Forest Service has had problems with some of the trails up by Easton when the users remove the obsticals blocking the user built trails, or just ride around the burms.

The sad part is that it seems there is no requirement for notificaton of closure to trail systems because of the abuse by others.

This state does a poor job managing the ORV lands and rules governing the usage.

Originally posted by: RidinLCWA I was at a legislative hearing earlier this fall, where DNR testified. They specifically cited Capitol Forest as an area where they allow ORVs on the roads. In fact, there are several places where they are doing logging that the signs direct you to take the roads to connect to the trail at a different place. When Bear, RealtorRider and I went on a ride a few months ago, we ran into this. So, I think it's lousy that the guy got a ticket and hope he fights it. Who gave him the ticket: DNR, Thurston County Sherriff, State Patrol?
The guy just told me, we couldn't ride the state roads and that he had gotten ticketed the week prior, don't know who ticketed him.

My taxes and my insurance is included in my monthly payment so I don't need to worry about them twice a year.

I had the option to come up with the money every six months to pay my taxes and insurance or include it in my payment every month, having it go into an escrow account...

Though, I wish I owned my home already...

My home is worth 4 times what I owe, so that means I am only buying 25% of it and I own the rest!
Just another thought, do we ever really OWN our home since the Govt. tells us what we can and can't do with our home and property?
