does anyone wear a backbrace when they ride? and if so,,,does it help or hinder?

I don't know if what I wear would be called a brace. It looks like the set up the lowes and home depot employes wear less the suspenders. I think it helps my lower back alot. My lower back doesn't bother me near as much when I'm done riding when I wear it.
