a guy my hubbie works with was with a girl for ten yrs and when they split up she got his brand new truck and 20,000$ they never got married but common law said they were.
which state was that?
washington, he lives in spannaway, this happened about 3 yrs ago
wow,,,i didnt think that law existed in this state

i guess I am married then
7+ years of cohabitating in this state can create common law marriage!

24 hours in Georgia!
common law marraige facts

guess i am not married afterall
Lucky for Julie!

When I lived in Georgia and worked for the airlines some of my coworkers would claim their girlfriends as common law spouses to get airline passes for them! Only afterwards did they realize that they then would need a legal divorce if they ever broke up.

Or muzzle loader or revolver. Why the hell would you need a rifle to kill anything in this state?
Ummm - - - - Pointy sticks, shotguns and the rest are not all that effective in most of Eastern Washington. Lots of deer, including Blacktails, are taken at ranges well in excess of 200 yards.
that is what i know how to do that's why i am going over there for elk. deer are fun and good eating but they just don't fill the freezer like an elk

Only lazy people hunt Eastern Washington. It's to open and the game has nowhere to hide. Not like the western side of the mountains. Any shootin' at animals past 100 yards isn't huntin' anymore, it's sniping and unfair to the animal.
I disagree with you. I have been hunting for about 5 years and have NEVER gotten an animal in Eastern Washington. I sit at a stand all day long and don't see the right animal (usually elk) that i'm looking for. Where my family hunts there is alot of places for the animals to hide.
It is plumb amazing how a big ol elk can hide behind a bush the size of a garbage can.
LMAO..

Muzzle loader would be kewl. but really unless yoru an old fart like bear.. there is no excuse for hunting westerd washington with a rifle.
If i shot a deer with my revolver there would be nothing left but the rack

First off, don't smiley face mean you are kidding???? I don't hunt in the east because my long range skills have sort of gone bye-bye in recent years, yes I've gotten old. But in my youth I did the 200 to 500+ yard thing. But that doesn't make you a woodsman or a real hunter. Shooting that far is a sniping skill and and hunting used to mean sneaking up on the game. But everything is about magnums and shooting far anymore. Not something that I see as requiring anything but youth and practice, mostlt practice. Since I don't move very well anymore I go into the woods to my choosen place, park my butt and wait, if I've choosen well or get lucky something comes by. But I never really saw the big challenge in shooting far. If the animals are hiding, you need to get out an stir them up, which at you age I did.

Awful lot of space around a deer, even the Mules, at 400 yards. A little wind or adrenaline makes for an easy miss. Different kind of hunting for sure but just as "fair" as ambushing a deer at 20 yards with a pistol. Also a lot less chance of loosing a badly hit animal in open country. And it ain't really sniping till you get out to the longer ranges with really powerful scopes. One of my favorites is a 6MM wildcat topped with a Leopold 24X.

Can't wait for spring. The quad and that rifle are gonna be tough on the coyotes.
Like I said before, shooting far mostly takes practice. Damn near anyone can do it, with that practice. Admittedly most don't practice enough or at all and think it is a big challenge. But it should only take one shot, if you have done the required practice.
