Where exactly is Evans Creek? do you have directions? The book I have it looks like Evans Creek is down past buckley on hwy 165.
Yes, the trails at Rock Candy are closed, but the logging roads are open.

Evans Creek is great, but TONS of big rocks to climb/drag over. It is also pretty rutted. I can post/pm you directions tomorrow if you would like. It is out past Buckley.
That would be great if you could wingdude!! We will have advanced to beginner riders, we are all looking for something alittle bit different.
I do not know about beginners going to Evans Creek. There are trails for beginners, but most are for more experianced riders. I learned there, but it is alot harder than Reiter I think. The great thing about Evans, is the fact that the trails are all short, maybe 2 miles at most. Then the dump off onto logging roads and then you catch another trail. You also have to be careful about which logging/forest service road you are on, they do write tickets there.

The Yoshi I have on my Z400 has been great. Very durable and the one time I pulled it apart to repack it there was absolutely no need. Mine comes with tunable endcaps as well, so if I have to make it quieter(yeah, right) it's a matter of 3 bolts to remove the endcap and change the insert. Dunno about the Dual, but Yoshi makes a very quality product, IMO.

when we go on group rides, I keep away from the backsides of Yosh equipped machines..... forking loud

What do you think the db levels are with and without quiet cores on those pipes?
before the motor work I had 93 db with my modified quiet cores, 96 with un-modified, and 107 db without quiet cores. All with fresh packing, measured at sea level around 75 degrees. With the new motor work... still unknown.
I don't think mine's around 107 without quiet cores, my 660 is 99, it sounds louder than the 700, but then I've never had the 700 tested.
