Elson St Riding Park: 77 south, Rt30 east, Rt43 south, about 10 miles on right hand side there is a <U>SMALL</U> sign for Elson St. Riding Area, underneath bigger sign, near the ground. (Or you could just watch for Elson St Sign) Turn right on Elson St., deadends into riding area. I can't remember <U>specific</U> directions for Bear Creek and would hate to get you lost, so i'll let someone else post those directions.

Hey bowhunter, are you sure about Hillsville being closed. Some friends of mine are going there this weekend and they say they've been going there recently with no problems. In fact, last time he was there he said he must have seen 200 bikes there.

 

Let's put it this way: It isn't legal to ride or even park and unload there. Doesn't mean noone is doing that.

Lotsa people have gotten fined for just parking there. A big part of it is now State Game lands, the wardens do not give warnings.

I live 10 minutes from there, and don't go. I can find better ways to spend $200

I just talked to a guy today who still rides (dirtbike) there. He rides legally because, as a lifelong friend of the landowners, he carries written permission to ride with him. He does not park there, but rides over from a friends house.

So, some do still ride there, but unless you have permission, it ain't legal.

 

I have been riding in hillsville since its been shut down. No one messes with us. Theres usually about 75 people there on any givin sunday. We've also made some new riding areas in lowelville, OH near Hillsville,PA. All woods riding and hill climbing.
