Default Camping out and riding in S.E. Oklahoma on4/17 & 4/18

Four of us from the Ok City area will be driving down to the Big Cedar RV Park Friday evening. It is located .3 of a Mile West of US Hwy. 259 on State Hwy 63 in Southeastern Oklahoma. Tent camping is only $10.00 per tent. Their website is http://www.big-cedar.net.
Phone 918-651-3271.
We will be taking two Grizzly's and two 700 Sportsman's.
There are miles and miles of trails and logging roads to ride on. From mild to wild, you can find it here. Very similar to Wolf Pen Gap.
We expect to arrive about 9:00 Friday evening and start riding around 8:00 Saturday morning.
We'd love to meet some other riders to enjoy this beautiful countryside with. A Land Access Fee may be required, depending on where we ride in the area. They can be purchased at any Wal-Mart Store.

If you have any other questions-feel free to contact me....XMARINE

Well guy's...there's been an unexpected turn of events in this trip to S.E. Oklahoma. A friend of mine that was to drive and haul the 4-wheelers came down with some kidney stone problems last night. He's in a lot of pain and is not going to be able to make the trip this weekend. After talking to him this morning, we are shooting for next weekend, the 24th and 25th, weather permitting. All four of us are extremely disappointed, as we were looking forward to possibly meeting some new friends and doing some great trail riding.

I'll keep the board posted as to next week's scheduled ride.
Ride Safely!

hey xmarine,

we ride in southeast oklahoma several times a year. all thru the deer seasons and a few times during the summer, we're usually not far away.

we are from del city and the purcell/lexington areas. we should keep in touch and ride together sometime. we do alot of riding around home too. in fact, our club is meeting under the purcell-lexington bridge @7:00 pm this saturday. you should come and join in.

PS. as long as there is breath in your body, youre never an ex-marine. semper fi

Hondacowboy,
We camp and ride out of Clayton Lake State Park. It's about 4 miles south of Clayton Ok. $8 bucks for a tent site, and $15 for motorhomes. Cabins are $55 a night, for bath, two twin beds and one cold air conditioner. Bring your own bedding.
We're kicking around the idea of going this weekend. It'll just be me and my wife, but we'd love to ride with you guys.
Think you can get away? Please let me know asap.

If you guy's have never ridden there...you're in for a treat. Remember...Honobia Creek area requires a Land Access Permit...available at Wal-Mart...best $16 bucks you'll ever spend.

Let me know...I'm gettin fired up to ride.

We'll probably roll in about 9:00 PM or so. It's a little over 3 hours drive time for me. Look for a white 2500 GMC 4x4 with a big black trailer.
