Where to ride in SE Wisconsin/Northern Illinois
#31
I live in Il. and have all my atvs registered in Wi.
So do many other people I know. That`s what you need to do to be legal.
Only because you can`t register them in Il.

Well we are all right. I live in IL we do not register in our state so wisconsin requires us to make sure we paid taxes, not stolen ect... Thats what I was told by two different dealerships and the DNR officer. Now if we did register in state we would only be required to have the sticker. This way the atv is registered at some point.

I was out there yesterday the 15th of May and the Fayette trail was open then closed then open anybody know what happened there? When I rode back by there, there were some fellas putting cattle gates across the trail. Anybody know why it was closed? Rain, pissed off farmer?

i donno about the Fayette trail..but the one to darlington/ monroe is terrible..they just dumped gravel on it....i think the intention was to make a bunch of speed bumps...it's hard to see speed bumps going 40...so needless to say i wrecked..i hit about a 2 and a half foot high pile of gravel on an Eiger at a good speed...i really think that was a dumb move by the people who did that...i can understand trying to slow people down..but when it's pure dust and you really can't see anything...i'd think they'd make a better speed reducer...something like a cop..lol...so now the eiger is all bent up and the bill is going to be about $400 for rack and bumper..i hit had enough to cartwheel the machine...it didn't even touch the handlebars to the ground just flipped on the back rack and bumper..lucky i didn't get hurt to bad..just some gravel rash and i think i may have seperated my shoulder a little...so watch out on that trail...i'd hate to see an inexperienced rider hit one of them...sorry about the long post to

SOrry to here that and hope you and your machine get back on the trail soon. I have not been on there since the 15th. It is usually a last choice to go ride there. Not very exciting.
