Baldmike- we will be doing a Pismo trip on July 25 SUnday day only, possibly but not very likely Saturday the 24th, but probably Sunday because my son has to work Saturday night. If you can make it great...Or anybody else for that matter.
We'll bring the VFOrce, P700 and Raptor. FUN FUN FUN, that would be FUN cubed, Fun to the third power.
Lo tide at 10AM which makes it very do-able till about 2PM. We will probably arrive Sunday AM about 9 AM and maybe leave about 2PM. If anything changes, I will post it.

Brodie the last weekend was me.
Yeah, those loud gensets **** me off too. Or the idiots partying till way late.
Besides Honda you can also get the Onans. THey are pretty damn quiet also. I know someone with one in an RV and the only way I knew it was running because I could see the pipe slightly vibrating as I watched him dig sand out from under the driver's side of the RV...it was listing into the wind. Gotta love those May Pismo winds.

Or the people riding their 2-strokes at 3:00 a.m. in the campsites instead of going out farther away from where everyone's trying to sleep. The tweakers who are up all night yelling and fighting with their girlfriends are another favorite. I don't mind some partying noise - I like to know everyone's having a good time, but there's a limit and a time to turn it down after a certain hour. Or hey, at least invite us over too!
We have the Onan Microquiet in our RV . . . (we call it the Onan Micro-not-so-quiet). It's really not bad, but the Honda generator we had with our old toyhauler was MUCH quieter than this one is. But even though we have a quiet generator, I still try to be courteous and only run it when I need to while cooking or whatever, and then I turn it right off. It seems the folks with the loudest generators are the ones who insist on running them 24/7!

HOllister is really proactive on the issue. 10pm the Rangers come through. They'll even walk. Especially down at the last campground. It's scary to be sittin there, and you look across the road and they are just standing there, badges reflecting the camp fire. I'm waiting for either an ax or banjos. Not sure which one is scarier.
This past weekend was the first time I really seen the Rangers at Pismo come through the camps to quiet some stuff down. Some guy passed out at his campfire with his radio going. Ranger turned it off and woke him up...I guess to see if he was still alive. "Hey buddy, you tore up?" LOL

Just got back and what a great day up there, about 75-77 deggrees, and a nice breeze blowing.
Hell it was cooler weather than Pismo today, hard to believe.......
