Yes, my husband's got the same thoughts about the truck, the creek... testosterone, etc..... however, he's had to tone things down, as our good friend actually sunk his Ford in the creek... made for a truly lousy weekend... Ford's don't swim at all... now that I think of it, I think that it is just now one year ago that we realized that "pricey" lesson

Karyn rescued him - well, pulled him out... everyone's heard the story before... lol
My Bad, Im going next thursday. Bummer, i wanted to meet another forum member.

All us men folk need a little time figuring out the horsepower/testoterone effect. Add 4WD, and it can get ugly fast.

I think i remember reading about that and have witnessed many unbelievable attempts AFTER watching some one else go under. The wife and I have always headed to the river at high tide. some times its boring, some times its priceless!!

i for one can tell you testosterone and the creak do not mix. I almost had to eat my words when i told the little lady to get in and shut up, i did not get stuck or have my little old ford washed away but i new i was in trouble as soon as we entered the creak trying to leave the dunes. when they had that bad storm that shut the dunes down and stranded everyone in the back we were one of the last ones to cross the river before the big truck and trailor got stuck. by all means my truck should have been sitting rite in there beside the other one. i now have a 4wd but if i have the slightest doubt before crossing we will either go shopping til it goes down or we will head back to the dunes and people watch.
We've all been there 2BIG2BFAST.

Its part of the learning curve.

Highs look to be in the low 80s... and the rain and thunder storms in the forecast seem to be diminishing...

However, I'm with 2B... this 100 degree crap is killing us in Fresno... Yesterday's off and on rain sprinkles between 5 - 8 p.m. were wonderful in cooling off the evening!

On another note, looks like we might head down to Pismo late Thursday afternoon If not, we'll be leaving early Friday morning

AWESOME WEATHER at Pismo this past weekend... couldn't have asked for better weather ... actually had fog/mist, light breezes, cool, hot, sun, clouds and one good lil' rain shower during the course of the weekend

Yes, it was sold out - but I don't think that the crowd was that bad.

Actually went back to the drags in the back late afternoon Thursday (hmmm, or was it Friday?) and there was NO ONE THERE! Amazing... lol

Ocean was warm enough to play in -

Creek was nearly none existant.

High tide wasn't bad.

Everyone was getting their truck & trailers stuck going up sand highway - lol - really, really stuck!

We left late afternoon Sunday and the beach was really clearing out nicely... sure wish we could have stayed to avoid this miserable Fresno heat!!!
