Weather was really awesome!!!!! The dunes were a little torn up but all in all had a great time. Lot's of people and lot's of fun at the drag strip. Looks like people really behaved.

You got it right Mike! We love Hungry Valley! Twice a month when we can. Nothing like riding the BLACK DIAMONDS to make you forget about the hussel and hassles of Orange County

For all you Pismo Beach guys. I have not been there for 20 years. Do they sell out before the weekends for overnight camping? I know you can get in during the week, but can you show up on friday about noon and still get in for the weekend? It would be a long drive for nothing if I was turned away.
Thanks.

Hi there... you'll need to get a reservation for Pismo Beach thru www.reserveamerica.com

If you show up for day use, you'll have to be out by 11 p.m. They do check for campers without appropriate receipts... they will ticket you for not having an overnight reservation to the tune of $270...

Reserved nights are $10 each with a $7.50 service fee when booking online.

Is there much riding up in Azusa Cyn? I don't remeber it being that big and the more water there ment less riding area.
I called up there a few weeks ago and they, (THe Rangers I guess) Said it was 8 bucks for the main vehicle and 5 bucks for each additional. I wanted to just get out and ride for a while since I live in North Orange Co But we ended up gong to Hungry Valley anyway because we know the riding there ROCKS!
Does Azusa still have that creek crossing to get into the rididng area? I have a lowered f150 and with a three quad trailer there is no way I am going to drag it through that if it is as I remember from years ago.
Any info would help. Also I tried looking at the area via satellite image but the zoom wouldn't take me in far enough. If any of you quadheads want to see Hungry Valley by satellite you can see a taste of what you will get with a birds eye view. It's a trail lovers dream and I can't wait to be there after a heavy rain.

Hey Mike, Calvin here. I bet as much as you are at Hungry Valley we have crossed on many trails. I have a dark blue f150 and a 12 ft black trailer and usually a white easy up canopy at camp. I ride a baby poop green or desert yellow as kawasaki calls it Brute force 750, If you happen to see us out there which is about two times a month Lord willing, stop and say hi will ya!
We have and always try to camp at cotton wood camp or Smith Fork or just anywhere we might be upwind of all the bone heads that don't observe the 15 mi camp speed. It sucks when I come back in from a great black diamond trail ride and the girls are complaining about some idiot doing donuts dusting out the food and their card games. Oh yeah, with this heat seem like the yellow jackets really like to sworm the camp, what can I take for the girls that migh keep them away?
Well hope to meet you there sometime and same with the rest of you Hungry Valley folks. Taker easy! Calvin

I WANNA RIDE!!!

Hey kvfcal

I was up there last year for the kids training coarse.
There is a parking lot that you can park in, un load and then cross the creek. there are spots for trailers but not many, get there early! its not that big but its some where close to ride.

Im going to be at Pismo 8-18/20. If anyone else is going and would like to meet a forum member let me know and I'll look for you. Ill be in a blue/white 92 F350 CrewCab 4X4 with a huge KTM sticker on the back window. A 23' prowler travel trailer and a flock of Jetmoto quads. I usually camp between poles 3 and 4 right on the beach front. We will get there around midnite thurs.

It's us again... heading to Pismo...
Several from Club ATV West will be there 8/18/-20. I think one of the friends is actually gonna get there on Thursday; I sure hope so. Most often we are up at the end of Sand Highway and over to the right. However, we'd like to be a little closer to the beach this trip. (We've heard that the high tides really are the high tides lately!)

There are still came sites available for reservations, so I know that it is not a sell out weekend yet!

We're not hard to find, as we put up our big yellow Club ATV West banner. Please do drop by and say hello!
