Visited Stonyford over the weekend. Holy @#$@! that 9 mile road is scary scary scary....SCARY!
I towed our 26' TH trailer and almost pissed my pants driving it down that road.
There were spots that was only as wide as the truck with like a 3000' drop off the side.
And then if you met someone going the other way WTF do you do?
Had to pull over a few times to let someone by but luckily we had time to see them approaching and enough room on the road.
Told my wife - take a good look at this place cause I'm never driving this road again!

That's good information to know. Would hate to pull my 36 footer up there and scare the crap out of my youngest child. She'd be freaked out for the whole trip and wouldn't be able to get her to ride.

I have driven the road a couple of times with my van, not bad until you run in to someone coming the other way, and you have to back up! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Well the rules of the road say whoever is coming down a grade is the one to back up. Safer to back up a hill than backing down.
I'll put Stonyford on my "It's probably not really worth it" list.
