Hi, I am new to the forums. Am doing some research before I get my quad, I plan on getting a bike sometime in August if everything goes as planned.
Was wondering if anyone knows of any descent places to ride in SE missouri. Near Cape/Perryville/Poplar Bluff/Farmington.

You have to have a helmet, and flag (which you can buy there for $11 I think)...it cost like $3 to get in. Big place to ride..woods, trails, mud, sand, water...

Sutton Bluff Too. It is more trails and you ride on rock roads also. It's in Centerville, Mo:

You will need two passes, one for the county which allows you to ride on the county and forest roads in Reynolds County, MO, and the other for the Mark Twain Forest, which also allows you to ride at Chadwick near Springfield. I believe the county one was $10 I paid a month ago and it expires in Dec of 2005, and the Forest one was $35 and that expires Dec 2004. But as I said, the forest permit lets you ride at Chadwick and they are working on getting another near Potosi that the forest permit will work with also. The rules are, helmets under 18 years old, which I recommend them anyhow with the overhanging trees on the trails, a flag and a slow moving vehicle triangl on the rear to ride on the roads. It is not anywhere near as crowded as St Joe and the trails are not torn up like at St Joe. They patrol well there too and don't show any sympathy if you are not legal, just to warn you. Have fun and be safe.
