I've heard many people like Elson street. I haven't seen any posts on here for a long while about it though, anyone know if its still open? I'm looking for a place to ride on July 4th, anyone have any idea if its open on holidays, or any other info would be helpful. Its fairly close to me, only about a 30min drive. Thanks for all the info!!

Guess I'll answer my own question, and well its a good FYI for the forum. Went to elson st to ride on July 4th, called the guy first and he said of course we are open. They called for severe storms but we chanced it anyways, it was a really good time, ended up to be awesome weather. A very nice variety of trails, anything from deep mud, to huge hills. We were there for about 5 hours and really only came across the same trail 1x. Lots of hills to explore though, and well thought it was worth the $10. Also the guy said he can open it up during the week, just have to call first and make sure you have a riding buddy with you. Just an FYI though, if anyone from the canton, akron area wants a place to ride, pretty good place to go.

Wow I had a thread revived....it is a sweet place...I've been there about 6 times now. There is a lot of people there on sat and sun. last few times there were probably 50 or more. They come and go all day. Its still big enough though with that many people you really don't run into them to often. Good place for me being only 20 min away too...

 

I did a search and I guess quadzilla is the only one who thought it was a waste. I need a spot I can hit mid-week and is close AND legal! Legal being the big part of it.
I read someone would open it mid week with a phone call.
Anyone got a number and directions from Medina? Helmet and sticker- thats it? Got to have a buddy to ride there?
Getting new Bear Claws this week and dont have time before hunting season to drive a couple of hours to get 'em brokenin LOL.
Any pics? I recall last year someone posted pics and cant find them now.
